Hand-Painted Pansy Pottery Ornament
Bring a little bit of the garden indoors with this hand-painted pansy ornament. In the language of flowers, pansies are a symbol of "thoughts" and memories, making these a lovely, thoughtful gift for a friend or a bright spot of colour for a windowsill or bookshelf.
Each piece is cut by hand from a slice of white earthenware clay and given its own integrated stand. After the first kiln firing, I dip the ornament in a clean white glaze and hand-paint the pansy design using professional ceramic colours. Because every petal is painted individually, no two pieces are ever exactly the same. A final firing fixes the design, resulting in a beautiful, glossy finish.
• Size: Approximately 12cm tall x 7cm wide.
• Depth: Roughly 2cm (including the built-in stand).
• Finish: Hand-painted earthenware with a gloss glaze.
